¿Banksy? NO!, Jamie P. Scanlon "Paint to Escape".

Ayer saltaron todas las alarmas en el mundo blogger de arte urbano, alguien se encontró con esta pieza en Tauton (UK) y le hizo algunas fotos para publicarlas con una sugerente leyenda "lo nuevo de Banksy". La verdad es que hay blogs que escupen noticias tal y como les vienen, sin a penas referencias y extrañamente, tienen decenas de miles de seguidores, esos blogs enseguida aseguraron haber encontrado la nueva obra de Banksy, sin más explicaciones que las fotos que os muestro. Otros, más serios, se preguntaban si de verdad era un Banksy esta nueva pieza, ni desmentían ni aseguraban nada.

Yesterday jumped all alarms around the blogger's world of urban art, someone found this piece in Taunton (UK) and made some pictures to publish with a suggestive legend "the new Banksy". There are blogs that spew news as they come, without references, these blogs soon claimed to have found new work by Banksy, without further explanation that the pictures that i show you . Other, more serious, wondered if he really was a new Banksy's piece.

Lo más triste es que algunos de esos blogs "más serios" al conocerse que el autor no es el artista de Bristol, han descartado la obra y la noticia, el verdadero autor, Jamie Paul Scanlon, opinaba sobre esto en su facebook "they deleted the thread guess its a shit idea if its not 'banksy'..." (han borrado la noticia, se ve que no es una buena idea si no es un Banksy).

The sad thing is that some of those blogs "more serious" following the announcement that the author is not the artist from Bristol, have dismissed the work and the news, the real author, Jamie Paul Scanlon, wrote about it in his facebook: "they deleted the thread guess its a shit idea if its not 'banksy'..."

Lo cierto es que la obra tiene cierta similitud con alguna de Banksy incluso de puede decir que la rata es muy muy parecida a las que él dibuja, y que el estilo es idéntico, pero como he dicho muchas veces, Banksy no es el único buen artista del stencil y aquí tenemos un ejemplo. 

The truth is that the work has some similarity with some works of Banksy, and can even say that the rat is very similar to those he draws, and that style is identical, but as I said many times, Banksy is not the only good stencil artist and here's an example.

En fin, lo justo es decir que ha aparecido una nueva pieza en Tauton (UK) del artista del stencil Jamie P. Scanlon llamada "Paint To Escape" de una genial ejecución, me parece una obra bastante buena y por supuesto tiene la misma importancia en Distorsión Urbana que si fuera de cualquier otro artista, os traeré más cositas de Jamie para que lo conozcáis más.

Finally, it is fair to say that there is a new piece in Taunton (UK) of the stencil artist Jamie P. Scanlon called "Paint To Escape" a great execution, I think is a very very good work and of course has the same importance in Distorsión Urbana than any other artist, I will bring you more works of Jamie that will let you know him more.
